Learning management for industrial teams

Manage the learning around the job.

Use Seneca’s learning management system to organize operator training, or connect the training to the LMS your team already uses.

01

Organize the team

Connect operators, their training, and the jobs they need to learn.

02

See the learning journey alongside practical demonstration and assessment.

03

Use your existing LMS

Discuss LMS integration and SCORM export requirements for your environment.

01 / Manufacturing LMS

Manufacturing training needs more than a course library

A course completion tells a supervisor something about learning progress. It does not necessarily show whether an operator can position a part, follow the required sequence, or check a finished result. Manufacturing training needs a connection between the learning record and the actual job.

Seneca combines training management with the procedure and several ways to learn it. Operators can work through computer-based learning, practise in VR, demonstrate the work with a trainer, and revisit the instruction on the floor. Review these stages together when deciding what support an operator still needs.

02 / Manufacturing LMS

Use Seneca LMS or connect to your learning system

The operator training page includes a clickable Seneca LMS demonstration. Explore the team and training views to see how the learning experience relates to operator records.

If your organization already has an LMS, define the records that need to move between systems. Discuss the available interfaces and SCORM requirements, how operators are identified, what counts as completion, and where practical assessment is recorded. Keep ownership of the training record clear instead of creating conflicting completion states.

03 / Manufacturing LMS

Keep learning connected to the current procedure

When a job changes, identify the affected training and the people who need an update. The review should cover the changed instruction, learning content, and practical checks. Record which version a person learned so a supervisor can distinguish current training from a previous method.

Start with one procedure and a small group of operators. Test assignment, access, completion, assessment, and the update process before extending it across shifts or sites. Use the resulting record to guide coaching and cross-training discussions.

Questions

Before you start.

Does Seneca have an LMS?

Yes. Seneca offers learning management alongside its operator training experience, with a clickable LMS demonstration on the training page.

Can we keep our current LMS?

Yes. Discuss the integration and SCORM export requirements for the LMS you already use, including operator identities and completion records.

Does passing a quiz mean an operator is ready?

A quiz checks understanding. Practical readiness also requires observing the operator perform the job and complete its checks.
